 You work with xquartz or x11 . For persons with x11 you do not need the
 winsys at all . You use the macos os open gl and the libgstgl that last
 one is build when you buil gstreamer1-gst-plugins-base  without that lib
 there is no gl support at all in gstreamer and all applications who use
 and needs gstreamer with glsupport will fail. For xquartz you need the
 winsys and cocoa and also gl of course. Since you also need macos opengl.
 But saying to use xquartz(which also uses a owcn x11 )will then create
 conflicts with x11 of xorg and visa versa
