 The `libproxy` implementation was rewritten completely in 0.5.0. They
 moved to meson for build and all language bindings were removed in favour
 of gobject-introspection. There is a new option to add vapi support, but
 as far as I understand it, this is independent from gobject-introspection,
 and as such I figured it appropriate to have a variant rather than a
 subport. I've submitted https://github.com/macports/macports-
 ports/pull/26855#
