 Here we've worked out that the problem is that MacPorts gcc14 is using a
 patch to get to iains'
 [https://github.com/iains/gcc-14-branch/releases/tag/gcc-14.1-darwin-r0
 gcc-14.1-darwin-r0] tag, but the problem was fixed in the
 [https://github.com/iains/gcc-14-branch/releases/tag/gcc-14.1-darwin-r1
 gcc-14.1-darwin-r1] tag, so the patch needs to be updated. Here is
