 @Chris, with all due respect, it looks like this patch
 [https://trac.macports.org/ticket/70341#comment:10] was either lost (?),
 or, more likely, dropped from the upstream - so it's either you, or each
 user who needs this to work.

 If you know how to tell the appropriate maintainers (i.e., what repo and
 where to raise the issue), please let me know here, and I'll do it.
