 Wow! Great work! (I still see a difference in behaviour when the same
 information is passed via environment or via arguments. In the latter case
 something else is triggered, that leads to using -rpath… But OK, the issue
 seems to be solved.)

 On GitHub you mention `pkg-config`: Shouldn't it be added as dependency?
 (I see similar dependencies in my test case Perl 5.38 vs. Perl 5.34.)
