 indeed -- hopefully folks like us can get gmp and similar projects up to
 speed.

 Unfortunately right now gmp etc consider this everyone else's problem to
 fix -- and maybe it is. I don't know what is exactly causing the new
 linker to generate these errors, and whose error it is to fix,exactly.
