 macports already knows how to make a gcc with an embedded gmp, by the way.

 We just don’t want to do that for the mainstream gcc ports.

 And building the gmp port with gcc would mean it can’t be universal, which
 we don’t want either.

 best to sort this out properly, as the whole world needs gmp to build
 properly with the primary macos compiler, not just macports.
