I have just updated my system from macOS Catalina to Sonoma. According to
the MacPorts wiki, I am able to use "sudo port selfupgrade / upgrade
outdated" in order to upgrade the existing ports to the new operating
system. The system is a mid-2012 MacBook Pro, and I used OCLP to get
Sonoma to install.
I have Xcode 16.2 installed, and the matching XCode command-line tools
I saw in the Problem Hotlist the first item is about Xcode 16.0. That
note says to remove some files, then clean the port and rebuild.
I did the following:
{{{
$ sudo rm -rf /Library/Developer/CommandLineTools/usr/include/c++
$ sudo port -f clean clang-9.0
$ sudo port -f clean clang-11
$ sudo port -f upgrade outdated
---> Fetching archive for clang-11

Error: Failed to build clang-11: command execution failed
Error: See

for details.

there is a bug.
}}}
I've done a number of variants to this trying to debug. This is the most
recent and also the closest to the recommendations I found on the MacPorts
wiki.
