 Sounds more like wishful thinking to me  :)  Some port maintainers will
 actually "maintain", and some will not; some users will update, and some
 will not. The end result of that is pretty chaotic - many "required"
 versions. I never even knew there was more than a single FFmpeg until I
 submitted this ticket!

 AFAIK, my only "dependency" was 'yt-dlp', but I "fixed" that a few weeks
 ago: I no longer use the MacPorts version of 'yt-dlp'; I've installed from
 the GitHub source & use the '-U' option to keep it updated. I've not had
 any conflicts so far... I assume 'yt-dlp' maintains the proper FFmpeg
 components in a dedicated folder structure that's separate from the FFmpeg
 library I installed from MacPorts.

 Anyway - I surely do appreciate your efforts here!
