 I bumped `libuv` (more accurately `libuv-devel`) in this PR
 https://github.com/macports/macports-ports/pull/27671

 It's had a few rounds of feedback and hopefully works on as wide a range
 of MacOS versions thanks to the great help of Sergey Fedorov and Fred
 Wright. Just needs someone brave enough to merge it ;)

 Hopefully it will help with the issues raised here.
