 Yesterday I reported this issue here

 Gleam became unusable to me after running the commands shown in this gist
 https://gist.github.com/gleamnoob/e65ad1cb742c10cb4720cbc56eab9694

 More specifically, the gleam commands such as "gleam run" and "gleam deps"
 which communicate with https://repo.hex.pm fail on my OSX 10.15.7 intel
 macbook.

 andho (message-username-1372605403694628925) recommended trying to use the
 GitHub build

 darwin.tar.gz

 It appears that build works as expected.

 Also it appears "gleam run" works on the macports build after the GitHub
 build is run as shown here
