 This report was posted as both an issue and a heads-up. Hoped others might
 know if changes to MacPorts might be an issue. The log was cryptic, to me,
 whereas past failures contained more information I was able to use.

 Yes. Sought to update the port locally. Tried this for both QGIS3 and
 QGIS3-LTR. This is a straightforward process per trac.macports.org. Minor
 version updates have in the past built without issue.

 Changes on my Mac from the last minor version update were: (1) MacPorts
 2.10.5 to 2.10.7; (2) Sequoia 15.4.1 to 15.5.

 An "update" request is an option. The livecheck for QGIS3 works. The
 livecheck for QGIS3-LTR seems to have not caught the update. Looking into
 this now.

 Point being, I think the maintainer knows of the updates. A Friday
 QGIS3/QGIS3-LTR release is something that might not see folder into
 MacPorts over a weekend.
