Path And Checksum Errors In A Few Packages

Uhhhhh........... very very weird.

Are /opt/local/var/db/dports/distfiles/gnome-icon-theme and the other  
similar directories weird in some way, such as...... I don't know,  
symlinks to themselves? I'd recommend manually deleting /opt/local/ 
var/db/dports/distfiles/gnome-icon-theme and the other similar  
directories, then trying again.

Well, it doesn't say it failed checksum validation; it says it could  
not open the archive files. Why? Do those files exist? If so, can you  
open them? Are they complete archives? Can you decompress them? If  
all else fails, delete the affected directories and try again.
