Compilation error.

I am using openport package management tool on a small G5 computational
cluster. Recently I tried to add dsh (distributed secure shell) by
compiling it from source. It requires a couple of dependencies, namely
p5-locale-gettext. This port package failed to compile giving me an
error as follows:
port install p5-locale-gettext

I made a soft link from /usr/bin/perl to /opt/local/bin/perl and tried
again.

I was able to find libintl.h on the system

/opt/local/var/db/dports/software/gettext/0.15_0/opt/local/include/libintl.h
/sw/include/libintl.h
Any help will be much appreciated.
