Error building plplot

Unable to reproduce this problem with MacBook Pro (Intel Core 2 Duo),  
Mac OS X 10.4.9, Xcode 2.4.1, MacPorts 1.4.42. aquaterm port 1.0.1_0  
installs just fine without complaints on the first try.
