Hi - I am trying to install macports on my macbook (osx10.4.9), primarily to
run nemesis.
Having installed the binary 1.4, sucessfully, when I run %sudo port
selfupdate I get this error.
sudo port selfupdate
Password:
DarwinPorts base version 1.400 installed
Downloaded MacPorts base version 1.442

Error: /opt/local/bin/port: selfupdate failed: Error installing new MacPorts

&& ./configure --prefix=/opt/local --with-install-user=root
--with-install-group=admin --with-tclpackage=/Library/Tcl && make && make
install" returned error 1

See `config.log' for more details.
Sorry to be fick - but, what the hell?
Any advice much appreciated.
