py-wxpython problems

Hi,

port upgrade recently updated wxPython to
   py-wxpython 2.8.4.0, python/py-wxpython (Variants: universal).

Now I am trying to enhance the py-matplotlib port and have to  
reinstall it. This does not work and gives me the errors given below,  
which seem to be the once described here:

Can you confirm this?
How can we fix this?
