license questions

I'm reading the package as saying we can't distribute patches for it,  
since MacPorts is not a registered non-profit entity, and the  
commercial version of the license forbids that.

I would ask the CMBI if they would be willing to relicense the work  
with a GPL license or give us the exception to distribute any patches  
that are required to make it build within MacPorts.
