I am new to MacPort and just installed it. But I haven't tried to download any applications yet. I have installed MacPort because I was having trouble installing MySQL and got fed up with it. My question is: Do I need to remove mysql, ruby, rails and any other applications FIRST that I now want to start installing with MacPort?
