Perl 5.8.9 port activation failed

I believe I figured it out:

@naiad ~] sudo port -f activate perl5.8 @5.8.9_1
Password:
--->  Activating perl5.8 @5.8.9_1
Warning: File /opt/local/bin/corelist already exists.  Moving to: /opt/ 
local/bin/corelist.mp_1231439641.
