Error: error deleting... file already exists

Hi, I am getting the following error message when upgrading a port
(sqlite in this example):

Error: error deleting
"/opt/local/var/macports/build/_opt_local_var_macports_sources_rsync.macports.org_release_ports_databases_sqlite3/work":
file already exists

Is this safe to ignore and/or how do I stop them? The command I used was:

sudo port -Ruc upgrade installed +universal
