Claws-Mail and Firefox

Hi

I am using port claws-mail running under X11 on my MacBook Pro but
cannot access any external link from the e-mail body message.
Claws-mail preference external program comes with the settings of
Firefox so I guess I should have also under X11 a version of Firefox.

The ports firefox available is firefox-x11 but I am getting an error
message when try sudo port install firefox-x11:

sudo port install firefox-x11
Password:
--->  Computing dependencies for firefox-x11
Error: Cannot install xulrunner for the arch(s) 'i386' because
Error: its dependency nss does not build for the required arch(s) by default
Error: and does not have a universal variant.
Error: Unable to execute port: architecture mismatch

So if this is not possible how can I configure claws-mail to access my
Mac firefox or even Safari from Claws-mail.

The ports www has only firefox-x11 and firefox-x11-devel.  Is there a
way to have other browsers as well?
