Perhaps something like:

"The $PORT port includes a service (daemon).  A startup item has been
generated that will aid in starting the service with launchd.  It is
disabled by default.  If you wish to start the service, (...)"

Extra credit if there's a way to pull out the actual daemon name, but I
suspect that's pushing things a bit.
