Problems running Gimp with +quartz +no_x11

Nothing related seems to be outdated.

$ port installed jpeg
The following ports are currently installed:
  jpeg @7_0
  jpeg @8a_0 (active)
$ port installed tiff
The following ports are currently installed:
  tiff @3.9.2_3 (active)

I guess I could try rebuilding them?

> Was your tiff port out of date? jpeg was updated to @8_0 in r64763 (2010-03-15) and tiff's revision was bumped to @3.9.2_3 at the same time to force it to be rebuilt against that new version of jpeg. But it looks like you only upgraded jpeg but not tiff. Use "sudo port selfupdate" to make sure you have the latest MacPorts and the latest port definitions, then check "port outdated" to see if any ports are outdated; if they are, upgrade them.
