error building Octave in parallel

That got me a working copy of octave; thanks. However, it just reinstalled 3.2.3, not  3.2.4. I tried following the install with:
 sudo port upgrade octave
Things paused for a few seconds like something was being done, but no upgrade. This is not a big deal for me as I've had no problems with 3.2.3. But, if you have any ideas....
