Port upgrade problems

Well, it looks like old installed ports from an older OS, thus built for a different architecture, for which the fix is the migration procedure, which he's trying to follow. But he's getting stuck uninstalling all ports, due I think to some interaction with the new MacPorts 2 privilege dropping code which I don't understand. Since the goal is to uninstall all ports, I think giving a helping "sudo rm -rf" hand to a few select directories here and there that MacPorts is having trouble with isn't a bad idea.
