[PATCH] wml fails to run after perl 5.12 upgrade

Hi list,

I filed https://trac.macports.org/ticket/28750 a few months
ago and added a patch to the ticket. Unfortunately, since
the patch got added I haven't heard back anything. I was
referred to the mailing list on IRC, so here I am.

Can I do anything to help get this patch applied? Is
something missing from my part?
