Hi all. I've just installed a clean copy of Macports 2.0, and a trial copy of Port AUthority. I'd already done a test install in Terminal of Whet, and decided tp try re-installing other ports using PA.
First package at the wire was xchat2. It started off well enough, but seems to have slowed down significantly. It's writing about one line per second into the log panel, and according to activity monitor is using 100% of a single core.
I don't know how far through the install it is, but the interface is non-responsive (spinning beach ball, activity monitor reports not responding). Is this likely to happen every time I install something with many dependencies?
Or am I doing something very wrong?
Regards, Andy
