Configuring new privilege dropping feature

I've just upgraded to MacPorts 2.0.0. I had MacPorts configured for running as a non-root user, not named "macports". How do I configure MacPorts to, when run as root (for packages which require root to install, such as macfuse or clamav), drop privileges by switching to a user other than "macports"? Or must I rename that user?
