emacs does not work on MacOSX server

Makes sense.
I tried creating a .emacs file inside the ".emacs.d/" directory where I
placed  "setq system-uses-terminfo y" but this did not work
Was this the right thing to do?

I agree. The latest Emacs by MacPorts does work like a charm on client
systems but it fails on Server systems...

I guess I can always default to using the old Apple emacs in my servers...

I wish I could solve this. I like the newest emacs.
