Binary builds???

Hmm, but it looks like you've got another issue, since I can get geos to install w/o problem:

$ sudo port install geos
--->  Fetching archive for geos
--->  Attempting to fetch geos-3.3.1_0.darwin_10.x86_64.tbz2 from http://packages.macports.org/geos
--->  Attempting to fetch geos-3.3.1_0.darwin_10.x86_64.tbz2.rmd160 from http://packages.macports.org/geos

--->  Activating geos @3.3.1_0
--->  Cleaning geos
