Can't install - 'Xcode is not installed..'

Hi Tim
A common issue is that downloading Xcode from the Mac Apple Store only installs an "Install Xcode 4.1" application , you also need to manually install the Xcode from that app.
Check you have a /Developer/Applications/Xcode and tell us what version it is?
