GDB 7.3 problem on Mountain Lion

I am seeing the following problem when I try to debug a program with
macports gdb 7.3 on Mountain Lion:

Starting program: /path/to/program
Unable to find Mach task port for process-id 8105: (os/kern) failure (0x5).
 (please check gdb is codesigned - see taskgated(8))

The signing procedure at this page:

http://sourceware.org/gdb/wiki/BuildingOnDarwin

does not help. Anyone face the same issue or have a workaround?
