gst-plugins-ugly and

There is a problem building gst-plugins-ugly with the new gstcdio.c API.  It has been unresolved for several weeks now.  Below are two links to relevant tickets and my upgrade log (after cleaning).

Has anyone been able to resolve this, or is anyone working on it?  Is there a workaround?
