As mentioned on that thread you linked to above, the problem is that ffmpeg has been updated recently, while moc has not been updated in a long time and is thus incompatible with this new ffmpeg. That thread recommends we update moc to version 2.5.0-beta1, and although we don't usually use pre-release versions, the last stable version was 3 years ago, so perhaps we should make an exception here.
