It's not up to Macports, this behavior depends on each program configuration.

You need another way to launch the program, there are several but an
AppleScript with "do shell" command is an obvious way and seems to be
closer to what you want.

Start the command in backgroud by appending '&' (quotes excluded) and
then exit the terminal.

Check kmymoney configuration files, it's probably saving the position somewhere.
