KDE 4 apps, such as kmymoney4, can be started by going via the
Applications icon (at the bottom right of the Dock) and choosing
the Macports folder and then the KDE4 folder.  If you wish, you can
drag them from there into the Dock and then you can start them with
one click.  Maybe the same holds for kmymoney and KDE3.

In a Terminal window you can also start an app by using Apple's
"open" command.  See "man open" and its Examples.

KDE apps generally should start with a reasonable window size
and position (but not all do).  If you adjust the size and position,
that will be remembered next time you use the app.
