Since kmymoney 1.0.5 requires X11.app to run it behaves a little differently than other applications.
I also noticed the weird placing of the app's window and found no way around it. It depends also on which other apps are present on the screen…

Try ports kmymoney4 or kmymoney4-devel, if you want to see the difference to the newer version 4.6.*! The KDE4 version is still having some OSX-specific problems, but one can work with it if you know how to circumvent those issues.
Version 4 has definitely more Mac OS X feel than the older one.
