FTP and WordPress in mac ports environment

Hello

I am using the mac os 10.6.8 default FTP :

bash-3.2# ftp localhost
Trying 127.0.0.1...
Connected to localhost.
220 127.0.0.1 FTP server (tnftpd 20080929) ready.

...

Remote system type is UNIX.
Using binary mode to transfer files.
ftp>
