Problem Getting Amavisd-new setup and started

Hi

I wonder if someone could help with some advice about the errors i'm getting
when trying to setup and start amavisd-new to be used with postfix. 

My OS is the latest Lion version; installed amavisd-new from macports yesterday,
along with spamassassin and clamav. 

When trying to start with the command 'sudo amavisd start' I get this error:

    "setrgid() not implemented at /opt/local/sbin/amavisd line 15416."

I have also tried to use 'sudo port load amavisd-new' and get this error:

    "etc # port load amavisd-new
    Error: org.macports.load for port amavisd-new returned: Launchd plist
    /Library/LaunchDaemons/org.macports.amavisd-new.plist was not found

I am lost now. I have been searching online for examples and for users that have
also experienced these errors but I have found nothing that helps me. 

I have modified the *.conf files provided to my requirements, etc. but now I
need more advice. I haven't had problems setting these programs up on other
systems - I normally use NetBSD and/or FreeBSD - so this is my first time
setting it up on a Mac OS. I did try first of all to use the version that's
installed already but it's out of date and I also wasn't able to get it right.

Would someone mind helping me?
