compiling for Windows on OS X, oddly enough.

The ports exist but that doesn't guarantee that anything knows how to use
them.  I would, however, expect that as long as you aren't expecting any
framework to help you along (not that they would anywhere else either),
Windows cross-compile instructions for Linux will mostly work on OS X.
