How to revert to the default autoconf?

You could temporarily remove MacPorts directories from your PATH. Or you could deactivate the desired Autotools ports. Or you could reference the executables by their full path (e.g., /usr/bin/autofoo).

Be aware that you might not even have "default" Autotools, depending on how recent your Xcode / OS X is.
