Q re Unison no longer maintained

It just means that the person who previously agreed to maintain the port no longer wishes to do so. This should be viewed as an opportunity for you or any other interested party to take over the task.

In this case, the message seems to have been in error, in that the port had already been unmaintained for 4 years, ever since r69376. It's just that some tickets for that port were assigned to someone who retired from MacPorts, so the tickets were assigned away from him.
