How would I Upgrade Outdated but hold back or not update one specific package?

I did a Selfupdate a day ago.

When running "upgrade outdated", MyPaint failed to build.  (I've added
my log to the existing bug)

Now I have a partially updated list with many more packages to go but
running upgrade outdated craps out at MyPaint.

Is there a way to run upgrade outdated while holding back or avoiding
updating MyPaint?  I haven't found this in the docs.

Or is the way to do this, uninstall MyPaint and then re run upgrade
outdated?

A follow-on question.
Is there a way to specifically reinstall MyPaint 1.1.0_2 as it compiled
OK before?
