After I got dolphin to link, the process halted on another link error, this time because of a duplicate symbol, apparently due to including a file (kconqmisc.o) twice. I filed a ticket (https://trac.macports.org/ticket/42673).
BTW, how complete is support for KDE4 on OS X? Is it more a proof of concept, or can one run a more or less complete KDE desktop alongside Cocoa and use apps like the Calligra suite function?
