I am trying to perform a routine "update outdated" on my Mac 10.6.8 installation. I have done this many times in the past.
This time:
Error: org.macports.install for port coreutils returned: no destroot found at: /opt/local/var/macports/build/_opt_local_var_macports_sources_rsync.macports.org_release_ports_sysutils_coreutils/coreutils/work/destroot
The message is correct:
ls -a /opt/local/var/macports/build/_opt_local_var_macports_sources_rsync.macports.org_release_ports_sysutils_coreutils/coreutils/work
./ ../ .home/ .macports.coreutils.state .tmp/
The log says:
:notice:install ---> Installing coreutils @8.23_1
:debug:install Can't run install on this port without elevated privileges. Escalating privileges back to root.
:debug:install euid changed to: 0. egid changed to: 0.
:debug:install Executing org.macports.install (coreutils)

:error:install org.macports.install for port coreutils returned: no destroot found at: /opt/local/var/macports/build/_opt_local_var_macports_sources_rsync.macports.org_release_ports_sysutils_coreutils/coreutils/work/destroot
:debug:install Error code: NONE
What can I do to fix this?
Thanks
