Yes. And kontact works like a dream on a fast machine. I had to patch imap-uw in order because the kdepim devs are too standards-focussed to realise that a simple, local imapd will send over the full $HOME before you can select folders to subscribe to (that patch has been accepted into MacPorts). But with that, the only glitch is the occasional "too many simultaneous imap connections" to gmail.

Yep. And it's even cooler if you can *use* software you've helped make possible :)
