port terminates under OS X 10.11.4

I also upgraded to 11.4 from 11.3 this afternoon and also upgraded all my macports after upgrading XCode command line tools to Darwin Kernel Version 15.4.0 and encountered no problems at all.

XCode is still 7.0, though.
