Logging in Sierra

Have various applications, such as Apache, Postfix and Mailman, been modified/updated to log appropriately under the new OSX logging scheme in Sierra?

Apache apparently logs independently of syslog - however bothy Postfix and Mailman (according to their respective websites) use syslog - which apparently no longer works in Sierra.
