the libgcc 6.1.0_0 < 2.0_2 (epoch 2 < 3) has

libgcc @2.0_2 (lang)
Variants: universal

Description: Provides the appropriate gcc runtime. Picks the
version to use based on macOS version.
Homepage: https://www.macports.org/

Build Dependencies: clang-8.0
Library Dependencies: libgcc8

on my i386 MacMini

I've updated "default_compilers"
whenever macports installed a new clang.

This is a very very old installation with all types of cruff ...

Generally, I've just done, what macports has told me to do during it's
lifetime ;-)

Presently, I'm in the process of upgrading to x86_64 (I've got two of
those old MacMini things - one with an i386 and one with an x86_64) so
presently, I'm migrating the installation on i386 -> x86_64, but untill
that's successfully done, I still do want my old i386 to stay as
up-to-date as possible. Presently, I'm getting issues with ports that
are x86_64 only so it's high time for me to take the jump ;-) :-D

And I've got a replacement x86_64 CPU for the i386 MacMini so long term
it's not an issue any longer for me [thumbs_up].

I'm administering them headless through ssh et al & Remote Desktop; and
I find, that Exposé and Spaces are much nicer to work with in Remote
Desktop under 10.6 than the later incarnation in 10.7 & 10.8 ;-) And
10.8 is the absolute max (through a hack) this old HardWare can handle
... but they are still going strong 2x[thumbs_up]
